In this course, we conduct the education and research such as development of new agricultural products and new varieties with high added value, development of efficient and profitable agricultural production technologies, relationship between various organisms and the environment and industrial use of biological materials with new functionality.
We contribute to develop original brands, new industries in the region by application to functional materials such as food and cosmetics through the research using the world's leading genetic resource collection, Citrus subgenus, about 40,000 soybean mutants, and hundreds of wild onions.
Moreover, we provide programs that cover a wide range of disciplines for development, preservation and breeding of biological resources such as Saga’s rice and Saga beef, functional analysis of various organisms correlated with agricultural production such as phytopathogenic bacteria, symbiotic microorganisms, viruses and insects.
